Protein takes a sideways look at Britain's greatest national institution, the pub. Set in a real bar, with guest appearances from local "extras", five people are caught up in a nightly quest for fun and a dose of self-confidence

Commissioned by Bucks Dance, Greenwich Dance Agency, Merseyside Dance Initiative, South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell, Swindon Dance and Yorkshire Dance, with support from Jerwood Space and The Place. Initially created with the support of a Jerwood Choreography Award 2000.
