DANCE AND INCLUSION

Protein’s Real Life Real Dance strand is a participatory programme which focuses on young people who have been excluded from society, and provides an opportunity to rebuild shattered lives.

Protein’s two week residency with patients at the Evelina Children's Hospital and their siblings in February 2008 resulted in a series of dance films created by Roswitha Chesher.

I Woz ERE 2  
A 30 minute production created with and for students of the Pavilion Pupil Referral Unit in Totteridge, North London, explored themes and issues around mainstream education. 7 young people participated in a three week intensive residency at Arts Depot which was filmed for a documentary by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, directed by Dan Williams.
