Luca Silvestrini's Protein Dance

Projects in Hospital Settings

Whether it's simply wiggling your big toe or doing a full blown waltz with your drip stand, a workshop with Protein is the chance for hospital patients to explore movement with Protein and simply have fun. With the emphasis on inclusion and confidence building, the activity has therapeutic benefits too. Everyone is invited to join in - children, parents, staff, siblings, special friends and teachers.

“This was definitely the most successful ‘outside workshop’ project I have seen, mainly because of the individuals running it. Compared to other project-based teams in the past the dancers were open-minded and child focused. They integrated well with the school staff and had a fun approach. They were also more flexible, with less emphasis on completing their preconceived ideas.”

Staff member, Evelina Children's Hospital (Guy and St Thomas NHS Foundation Hospital Trust)
