Luca Silvestrini's Protein Dance

Intergenerational Projects
Create your project combining up to 4 groups.
A minimum of four days is required.

We live in a society that tends to separate people according to their age, creating suitable contexts and products for each specific group. Protein's intergenerational projects provide an opportunity to share experiences and cultures across generations with the ultimate goal of understanding a bit more who we are and what we know about the others. Each group taking part in the project will be working both on its own as well as with the other(s), making sure that the integration between groups happen during the creation of the work and not only in performance.

Intergenerational Projects

“Protein created an inspirational piece for our Youth Dance Company and our older peoples dance company 'ReactiveAge'. Working together over a number of days they formed a work exploring the attitudes toward the generation gap and reversed the idea of social stereotyping with the young people holding the views normally considered the territory of an older generation and vice versa. The entertaining and exciting work has been shown across the county of Gloucestershire to great acclaim for both young and old alike.”
